About MTI
Founded in 2018, Medical Training International delivers competency-based surgical training programs that integrate advanced simulation technologies, motion analysis, and direct clinical exposure — validated by French University Diplomas and ECTS credits.
Born from a
mission in Libya
MTI was created to develop and systematize training methods adapted to health workers who have limited access to continuous training and/or who are working in crisis contexts. Directed by Dr. J. Cau, MTI relies on the expertise of public and private health facilities, universities and research centers in France — particularly in Poitiers, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Marseille and Toulouse.
Today, MTI operates in partnership with the Sainte-Marguerite Group (10 hospitals, 1,400 beds, Toulon/Marseille) and the University of Poitiers, setting up peer-to-peer technical cooperation between French and international medical institutes.

Our Competency-Based Approach
Assessment follows the four-phase MTI model, grounded in Fitts & Posner motor skill acquisition theory. Each phase builds on the previous to ensure complete surgical mastery.
